CLAYMATION IN GRADES 5/6

During this term, the grade 5/6 children did a project about endangered animals, with the information we collected we created a claymation on an endangered animal. After that we made the animals habitat in a box. It was a great experience. After the creation of our animal and habitat we took many photos and made a short film.

Our Integrated studies unit focused on ‘Endangered Species – All But Lost’ The 5/6 children were able to integrate information technology and art to develop their understanding for the need to respect animals, plants and our environment. The children have certainly enjoyed and learnt a great deal about using I.T through claymation. Co-operation and negotiating in small groups allowed the children to create and design a small habitat for their chosen endangered animal.
